  • Patient Demographics Query HL7 V3

I tried to search but I only find information on HL7 v2.

Is it possible in Mirth Connect to receive a PRPA_IN201305UV02 (Patient Registry Find Candidates Query) message, search the database for the list of candidates and then build a PRPA_IN201306UV02 (Patient Registry Find Candidates Query Response) message to a file writer connector?

Can Mirth Connect do all of this?

Yes, that can all be done within a transformer. There are templates in the References tab that should be helpful when it comes to querying databases, etc.
Step 1: JAVA CACHE...DID YOU CLEAR ...wait, ding dong the witch is dead?

Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.

    - How do I foo?
    - You just bar.

Couple more questions (both in Mirth Connect v3.x):
How to specify the outbound template if some of the elements may be omitted or may appear more than once (for example, the OBX segment in the v2 message or the person ID element in v3)?
And finally, how to send the reply back from a destination transformer?
