  • Error - reprocessing messages with tilde character

Have a channel listening for messages on a port using version 1.5 which is running fine except for the following issue. The system sending the HL7(Centricity) has patients like Zuña^abc (with a tilde sign). Since such messages with the tilde character are not supported by Mirth these messages come in with an error. The issue is that when such a message arrives at the port, Mirth tries reprocessing the same message repeatedly, clogging the port and not allowing the subsequent messages to come through. The channel has send ACK set to 'no' so I don't think the sending application is resending the message

How can we stop Mirth from trying to reprocess the message and move on to the next message arriving at the port.

    Thank You

Try turning off "Use Strict Parser" in both Source and Destination Transformer, and re-do the mapping, if any.

    Hope it helps!

Also, upgrade to 1.6.1 if possible, the characters should be supported.

The upgrading helped the tilde issue.

        Thank you
