  • anyone using filemaker server 5.5 with mirth?

Hi, while waiting for an update to our 12 year old AP Reporting system, I am attempting to connect to the hospital ADT feed to our Filemaker Server 5.5 running on a G5 Mac OSX 10.4.8. (we are an independent lab)
Can this be done with Mirth?
I've installed Mirth, now i must get mirth to talk to FMS and the Hospitals Siemens "OpenLink" system.
Any words of encouragement would be nice.

    Thanks!

What kind of input does FileMaker want?

Mirth is able to take ADT messages over a reguar LLP/TCP connection. Then from there it can write directly to a DB or to files. Then FileMaker can read the same DB or files and do whatever it does.

There are JDBC drivers for filemaker (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/25423). You can potentially load these into Mirth and connect directly.

Could you have Mirth generate an XML file and have FMP import it?
