Is it possible to control the speed at which HL7 messages are sent out from the channel.

I have a channel that picks up HL7 from a file, transforms and sends it to my application. The receiving application is not processing all the HL7 messages sent out by Mirth(only some arbitrary messages), I presume this is because it is not able to process all the messages at the rate it is sent. If the speed at which the messages are sent is reduced it may work. Is there any such capability to regulate the speed of message sending in Mirth? If so how can this be done?

You should fix your receiving application since there is no 100% guarantee that a message will make it there even if you wait.

I agree with you that "there is no 100% guarantee that a message will make it there even if you wait." but is there any way of controling the speed of message sendng in Mirth?

You can probably do this by using the JS sleep() method in one of the transformers. I wouldn't recommend this though.
