  • Modify the output HL7

    HI guys!
Is it possible to create one channel which allows to modify the segments found on the sample outgoing HL7 message? I'm using Database Reader and TCP Sender.

For example: a message type ADT with event type: A01 will only need a specified number of message segments like MSH,EVN,PID,PVI. I need to know how please....

How will I do the mapping for this one?
Do I need to write a script for this?

You will need to make a transformer on either the source or destination (depending if you want to broadcast the transformation or do custom ones for each destination). Then you need to paste a sample HL7 message in the outbound message template and map the fields that you want from the tree using the message builder steps.

Sorry for being so stupid on this one, but my problem is "How can I let Mirth delimits the message segments for different event types in using one channel only?"
Can you pls explain in detail..? Do you mean that i need to do as many steps per event? There is on;y 1 sample message for basis here..

I've used message builder successfully except on the default value..but it will always based its output on the sample right? How can I define the needed segments to form the right HL7? Please help. Kinda urgent.. Thanks!!! :side:
