wanted to know about functions

hey when you want to configure a transformer , you have a window on extreme rigth with three tabs which say reference,incoming ,outgoing data .but there are several things in your refernce tabs ? are they methods which we can use? or how are we suppose to use them?

Yes, you can use the reference functions in any of your steps. (Some only make sense in Javascript steps, while others can be applied anywhere). Be sure to change the default parameters.

You can use them by dragging and dropping the desired function into any text box in the transformer or filter.
