  • Soap sender on HTTPS

Please, could someone explain what should be
configured to be able to contact a
    SOAP service exposed through HTTPS
    (using SOAP sender)?

At first try, I received error messages like "Axis
    fault .. can't find cert path ..".
After adding a (self singed) certificate to "cacerts" in
the JRE, the message error has changed, becoming
    a "AxisFault (404) Not Found".

I'm sure that URL is correct: I can't
figure out the meaning of this error.

    Thank you for suggestions!

    Soap sender over https

    Here I enclose error messages

    1) First error, before I add a certificate into $JRE\lib\security\cacerts

    FAILURE: Error invoking WebService
    AxisFault; nested exception is:

    javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException:
    sun.security.validator.ValidatorException:
    PKIX path building failed:
    sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderE xception:
unable to find valid certification path to requested target

    2) After I add a self signed certificate

    FAILURE: Error invoking WebService
    AxisFault
    (404)Not Found

    Any thought?
    Thank you

Solved: soap sender for WCF on HTTPS

The problem was target web service's configuration.
In WCF there are some tricky server side settings
      to get https works.
Hope this could save you time!
