Re: Unable of start Mirth 1.3

I did a quick test (File reader to database) and Mirth v1.3 worked fine (Windows 2000 SP4 w/ current updates, Java Runtime Version 1.5.0 Update 9 [ build 1.5.0_09-b03 ] ).

Here's what I did:

1. Cleared Temporary Internet Files (Control Panel / Java / General tab / Delete Files)
2. Cleared Temporary Internet Files from Internet Explorer
3. Downloaded and extracted Mirth-v1.3 zip file
4. Started Mirth.bat
5. Launched http:localhost:8080 from Internet Exporer
Got prompted to save webstart / Saved to a local folder / Accepted prompt to trust mirth.org (don't remember exact name) /

6. Logged in Mirth admin using admin/admin
7. Imported channel from v1.1 / Accepted prompt to convert the channel to v1.3
8. Modified Directory-to-read and Move-to-directory
9. Copied 10 HL7 message files in INBOUND folder (S12, S14, A31)
10. All 10 files were processed successfully
11. Patient and Appointment table in the database had correct data.

Re: Unable of start Mirth 1.3

We've tested on several different systems and that is the first we've heard of that error. We will look into it ASAP and have a resolution shortly.
In the meantime, make sure you have the latest Java5 (1.5) JRE installed and updated, and clear your Java temporary files.
Sorry about that!

Re: Unable of start Mirth 1.3

Strange - this issue seems to be due to not being able to reach the apache.org site to resolve the ibatis DTD:

http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg01758.html

It should use the DTD from the JAR (as specified by the Apache developers) but we'll look into this.

Alberto - can you add this to the issue tracker? Thanks!

Re: Unable of start Mirth 1.3

Another (bad) thing

I've just installed the JVM 1.6

There is no error, no problem,.. and no Mirth.

Starting with JVM 1.6 (from Sun), Mirth doesn't start. I can see how the tracer loads all of the classes (I have the log setting to TRACE), and then, it finish with no message at all.

Re: Unable of start Mirth 1.3

Very interesting, thanks for the report! We are thinking about creating an "experimental" branch from the trunk that migrates Mirth to:

1) JVM 1.6
2) Mule 1.3 or 2.0
3) New internal db (possibly JavaDB from 1.6 - which I guess is Derby?)
