  • Problem with Channels in 1.4.0

I am running 1.4.0 and I was on 1.3.2. For starters it would not allow me to import my Outbound message from 1.3.2.

So I decided to recreate it in 1.4.0.
I imported the sample test outbound.
Then I created a new outbound channel.
It gets the channels confussed when I switch between them.
It will show the destination information from the test outbound in the new channel that I created.
Then when you click on a channel in the channels screen it will not come up at all.
Then I will logout and then log back in and all the information for the channel that I created is gone.
I basically get a blank page when I click on the source tab(it just shows connector type and connector class and nothing else).
Destinations tab shows a grid with Title1, Title2, Title3, Title 4 columns and then connector type and connector class.

Also I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice.

Please let me know what I have done wrong.

    Thanks,
    Bobbie

    Re:Problem with Channels in 1.4.0

I have the same exact thing happening to me. I create channels, everything seems good, go back to add some additional mapping and bam!, everthing is blank. It has even deleted all my channels before. I stop and start service several times with the same result. This release seems very erractic.

Can you add this issue to the JIRA: www.mirthproject.org/jira

We will fix it before 1.4.1

I added it to JIRA and it is Key Mirth-324. Do you happen to know when 1.4.1 is suppose to be released? So I just roll back to an older version until this is resolved?

Try this workaround and see if it works for you:

After you import 1.3.2 channel into Mirth 1.4.0, Save the channel and Logout from Mirth Administrator. Close the login screen. Launch Mirth Administrator and login. You should see the imported channel. Then try adding new channels.

This workaround helped me to import the old channels into Mirth 1.4.0.

          Hope it helps!

1.4.1 is scheduled for 1-2 weeks from Today. (Early May).

Did clearing the Java cache work?

              Nazir,

Can you add this to a Jira issue, you shouldn't have to do that to import 1.3.2 channels.

              Thanks!

                Re:Problem with Channels in 1.4.0

Guys...this is DEFINITELY a problem with your Java cache. If you can see any notion of INBOUND/OUTBOUND or ROUTER/BROADCAST in your "1.4" client, the cached version of 1.3.2 is still being run. Please go to the control panel and clear your Java cache and try again. Everything should work after that!

Ok...please give me a copy of your channel that doesn't work. I will test it right now and figure out the problem.

                        Re:Problem with Channels in 1.4.0

Even if you have never had another version of Mirth installed, please keep in mind that if you have ever webstarted the Mirth Administrator (from another machine) it caches it locally. Please make sure to clear your Java cache. An old client will NOT work with a newer server. This is a problem with Java webstart that we are working to fix as soon as possible.

Please continue to keep us updated as to whether this solves your problems. We use Mirth 24/7 here and have not experienced this problems in any final release.

I cleared the Java cache and tried importing three different 1.3.1 channels into 1.4.0. All three channels imported fine. Problem not reproducible after clearing Java cache.

After looking at a sample channel that caused this issue, we have a possible cause:

Is your source connector a database reader? If so, please paste your SQL statement in a reply.

                            Thanks!
