  • connection not polling

I have been using Mirth (v1.7 with a Mac and mysql) for a month with no serious trouble but am now stumped. When I start a channel(reads from a file and writes to an XML file) I see it reading for a few seconds then it stops and the connection status says "not polling" rather than what I believe it used to say ("idle"). I've restarted Mirth, the Mac, scanned to correct permissions on the Mac, recreated and simplified the channels from scratch but to no avail. The problem is I get no error (or logging of any activity that I can find) anywhere. Thoughts on how to solve or further troubleshoot??
I've attached a simple channel that doesn't work.

    Thanks much
