  • Writing date to postgres

I'm having trouble figuring out how to write a string value from an incoming HL7 message as a date in the sql insert to postgres. I'm sure this is documented somewhere, but I just cannot find it. It doesn't help that I'm only nomially familiar with JavaScript, especially ECMAScript. Any point or suggestions would be appreciated!

    Re:Writing date to postgres

As jbartels helpfully pointed on in IRC, using the postgres native function to_date solved the problem.

    See http://www.postgresql.org/docs/curre...ormatting.html for further detail.
