  • Simultanious Channel Polling

    Hello all,

I have 7 channels that read data from a DB and send it to a destination. Every channel polls the DB every 20 minutes. When I hit "Deploy all" all the channels start and all they poll the DB in 20 minutes simultaniously. This can cause DB and system overload if all the channels have much data to send. Is there a way to setup the channels so that don't poll simultaniously but still every 20 minutes?

    Thanks a lot!

Put a sleep statement in the preprocessor so they fire at 20 minutes but then sleep for some number of seconds before doing any work.

You can also try to put the sleep statement in the "Deploy" script of each channel, this should lead to start all the channels with the same polling interval but starting at different time each.
