  • FatalConnectException: Help

This is not a request for help but the solution to a problem that I hope helps others

    I received an

org.mule.providers.FatalConnectException: ReconnectStrategy "org.mule.providers.SingleAttemptConnectionStrateg y" failed to reconnect receiver on endpoint "jdbc://query"

    error

I thought it was a loss of connection to the receiving application.
But it was a lost link to my SQL Server database.
The SQL Server database has a SQL Server Login that Mirth uses to make its connection

I had restored a copy of the production database to our test server and overwritten the existing test database. Although the production database had an identically named SQL login it obviously wasn't the same to SQL. this is whar caused the error from Mirth.
Dropping and reapplying the login corrected the problem.

I appreciate that this may not be the same reason or solution for others who have had this error message, but hopefully it can act as a checkpoint for others if this occurs.

    Regards
    Robin
