  • Adding HL7 data to a filename.

When saving HL7 messages to a file, is it possible to name the file using parts of an HL7 message?

Let's say I had a patient with account number 123456. Is it possible for the filename for the HL7 data to be 123456.txt?

    Thanks.

Yes. Set up a mapping for the data you want it it will be available for writing. If you need it for reading then you can parse the originalfilename mapping and get what you need.
