  • Assign null value in channelmap.put

    Hi all,

    I'm trying to assign a null value to a channelMap.put variables but using any method Mirth returns nullpointer exception. Any hints about?.

    I'm using code like this:

    channelMap.put('patid',null)

    or this too:

    var joker = null;
    channelMap.put('patid',joker)

    In both cases the exception is returned!.

    Awaiting your help!

      The underlying Java implementation of the channelMap is a "ConcurrentHashMap" which does not allow null's to be used as keys or values.

        Thanks Mitchd,

        Does this mean that I have to use javascript in the databasewriter in order to write nulls into the database?

          Yes, you would have to script something in order write nulls to the database, since you cannot store them in any of the "maps"
