    Re:Mirth will not start

Before you start the mirth administrator, I thought you had to start mirth? It appears that nothing is running on the computer on port 8080. Try starting mirth and see if you can access it after that.

      Re:Mirth will not start

The mirth service is running and I stopped the firewall services just to be sure that wasn't the problem
Interesting that netstat -a does not show a listener on port 8080
      Thanks

        Re:Mirth will not start

Are you launching Mirth from a shortcut or from the web interface?

If you do not get a web page from http://yourserver:8080 then the service isn't running.

          Re:Mirth will not start

What version of Mirth are you using and on what platform?

Asking because I had some problems with version 1.7 on Windows platforms (apologies to my open source OS friends) which did not occur with either version 1.6.1 or version 1.7.1.

More an FYI than anything else...if you are using version 1.7 on Windows, recommend installing version 1.7.1.

          Regards,
          Joe

            Re:Mirth will not start

I'm running Mirth 1.7.1.3422 under Windows Server 2003 R2. I am running Java 6 Update 7. When I point my browser to port 8080 I do not get a web page. I checked the windows services and Mirth is started, I stopped and restarted the service, still can't run the admin. Since I am only in evaluation mode I can re-install.

Can I save my connectors even though I cannot launch the administrator for export ? Should I copy the DB ?

            Thanks for your responses

              Re:Mirth will not start

Found my problem! Mirth would not start because the table I was accessing via JDBC-ODBC was corrupt ! Now the question is why? The table is written to via DB triggers that are fired when certain events occur in the application. The Mirth source connectory was configured to use JDBC-ODBC to process rows and then update them to a "Processed" status. I have the log file logging set to DEBUG I will search through for any messages related to ODBC

              Thanks

                Re:Mirth will not start

Ok another update. Here is what I have found in my quest to re-create this issue:
                When starting Mirth:
If the table I am selecting from contains 1 row that qualifies all is well. If the table contains more that one row and I start Mirth, the table becomes corrupted. I will try and change the polling interval to see if that helps

                  Re:Mirth will not start

Is Mirth running on top of the ODBC DB or just accessing it?

It looks like you're actively working on this, I'll be on IRC (#mirth on freenode) during my lunch break and would be happy to provide some 'live' assistance, or at least offer moral support.

                    Re:Mirth will not start

Ok Mirth is accessing the DB via a DB Reader connection. I have tried to access IRC and cannot.
                    Thanks for your help.
