  • Upgrade 3.5.2 to 3.8.0 and can't launch administratior

Hi - I have searched the community for help on this topic but don't see any resolutions. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

    We are running
    Linux 3.10.0-327.22.2.el7.x86_64
    RHEL 7.2

    with java version

    openjdk version "1.8.0_91"
    OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_91-b14)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.91-b14, mixed mode)

    our backend database is postgres

and we ran the upgrade. When we try and get the administrator console up we get this error

ERROR 2020-03-11 16:55:38,744 [Main Server Thread] Server: Loading class `com.mysql.jdbc.Driver'. This is deprecated. The new driver class is `com.mysql.cj.jdbc.Driver'. The driver is automatic
ally registered via the SPI and manual loading of the driver class is generally unnecessary.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

We are trying to use the Mirth Connect Launch Administrator

Maybe your mirth.properties references that deprecated driver and needs to be updated? My guess is that error occurs on server startup even if you don't try to log in to the Administrator.

Oops, I don't think that was actually your problem. It's the second error. I found this other person with the same issue, but no solution. Looks like a similar setup.
