  • Mirth Http Sender using windows authentication

We have a rest service that is secured requiring windows authentication (kerberos with fallback to ntml). When using the Http Sender we are geting an unauthorized error. Is there a way to configure the destination to pass the credentials of the service account?

Not sure if it will work, but have you tried turning off authentication in the http sender?

If that doesn't work, you'll probably have to use the httpclient java classes directly rather than an HTTP Sender.

Another possibility would be for you to manually construct the value in a transformer, then include your custom Authorization header on the HTTP Sender. This would still require some work obviously, but maybe it's possible using the jCIFS library that is included with Connect by default:

Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.
