  • using AdoptOpenJDK. Free Java distribution.

We have published a video which explains how to install AdoptOpenJDK and how to check if Mirth Connect is using it.

As Oracle has changed its Java licensing and updates or not free anymore, AdoptOpenJDK is a perfect replacement.

Have a look here how to install and test AdoptOpenJDK:

I'm not using it in production, but I have a docker image running mirth 3.7.1 based on adoptopenjdk/openjdk11:alpine. It seems to be doing fine.

We also use it only on our development systems, without problems, right now.
Next week our first production (in test phase) system will be equiped with it.
