  • HL7 saving to file in one line

I have Mirth Appliance 3.11 and have a simple channel that reads an HL7 message from TCP and a destination to write to a file. The problem is that it puts the whole message in one line.
I had read about clicking enter after ${message.encodedData} in the template, but it didn't work.

    Found the problem.
In the Data Type, I added \n in the Segment Delimiter for that destination.

The default \r should do it too. If clicking Restore Defaults for both inbound and outbound data types doesn't generate standard HL7 output, then I'd look for something amiss w/the source data or the transformations. You should also be able to set the destination template to Raw Data and get the desired output provided source format is standard. Hope this helps!
