Mirth Connect 4.0.1 is now available as an appliance update and on our GitHub page. Mirth Connect 4.0.1 is a patch release containing a bug fix which includes fixing a Jetty keystore regression that caused Connect servers using a PKCS12 keystore containing a wildcard certificate and/or a certificate with a SAN to throw an exception on startup. • Query PACS with mirth?

I cannot tell if mirth will address my needs. Can a current user please let me know:

I'm creating a web application that needs to query PACS for patient information. I can connect to the MS SQL database for the information I need, but I would prefer to make a DICOM query so the application is portable to other systems without major change. The user would then select the proper patient/study and specific information on that patient is sent back to the application to be linked to a report in a 2nd database.

Can mirth handle the communications necessary to pull this off?

This is beeing worked on for the next version AFAIK.

For now, you can call the dcm4che library from a Mirth script to do the query.

I am pretty sure you can call an external program from a transform or script. Are these associated with destinations or a I headig down the wrong path?
