  • Email alerts only after retires complete

    Is there a way to only send an email alert when the destination is actually in ERROR state and not in the retry phase?
    We currently have 3 retires turned on and we receive 4 error alerts for the same error instead of 1 at the end of the retries.
    We do not have the advanced alerting. We are on the Mirth 3.4.2
    Any feedback or guidance is appreciated.

    Thank you!

    One thing you could do is only check "User Defined Transformer" in your alert errors. Then edit your response transformer, set the data types to Raw (so that it'll execute all the time even when there's no response payload), and manually send an alert:

    Code:
    if (responseStatus != SENT) {
    	alerts.sendAlert($('responseStatusLine') + '\n' + responseErrorMessage);
    }
    Then you can include the ${error} variable in your alert template.
    Step 1: JAVA CACHE...DID YOU CLEAR ...wait, ding dong the witch is dead?

    Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.

    - How do I foo?
    - You just bar.
