  • Performance problems on Mirth 3.4.2.8129 while searching messages without filtering

    Hi,

    First of all, thanks to all of you for helping people with theirs problems.

    I have decided to write here because i had search a lot on the web but i didn't find anything.

    Me and my work team have problems with a channel that receive a lot of messages and with a high size (ORU messages). The problem is caused on the BBDD server when someone makes a search on this channel, at the dashboard, and you don't add filters. This kind of search cause problems and we are seaching a way that we can put a filter by default (only today messages ex.) to this channel, or to all of them if it's not possible to add only to an specific channel.

    The query is
    Code:
    SELECT MESSAGE_ID AS MESSAGE_ID, METADATA_ID AS METADATA_ID, CONTENT_TYPE AS CONTENT_TYPE       FROM D_MC562       WHERE MESSAGE_ID  >=   @P0              AND MESSAGE_ID  <=   @P1                      AND CONTENT LIKE '%' +  @P2  + '%'
    This channel has "prune content" activated with 30 days.

    Thanks to all of you. Regards

    Hello,

    why don't you use METADATA variables?
    You can add one or two metadatas and on Mirth search you can go by those metadatas and by a date range.
    You will see that is a lot faster.
    Best Regards,

      yeah but they still have to go in advanced search and include metadata in search...

        So from my understanding, when he double clicks on the channel just to see the messages by default it "crashes"?
        What he want is when double clicks the channels, by default only show the messages received today?

          What is the message size and volume? What is the server configuration (memory, cpus, disk, etc)
