  • Channel get stopped when database is not available

I have some channels with database reader in source connector. These channels work at 10 minutes interval polling type.

Once a week these database could be stopped some time for maintenance and backup operations. Then, its related Mirth channels get stopped until somebody restarts them manually.

Anybody knows if exists a way that Mirth didn't stop channels although database was unavalilable?

If you substitute the database reader with a JavaScript reader that essentially does the same (and protect your code with a try-catch), is possible that your channel keeps running, despite the js code raises exception.

I don't know if that works, but give it a try!
