  • File Reader - After Processing Action meaning

What exactly does "After Processing Action" means with respect to a File Reader? Does it mean when both Source and Destination connectors are done processing, or just that when processing of Source Connector is complete?

Example, I have a File Reader connector to poll and read a file from source folder. "After Processing Action" for this is set to Move the file to an archive folder. In the Destinations, I have several connectors with Javascript, WebService Sender etc, to read the file from source folder, process it and send it via web service.

I want the file to move to archive only when the Destinations are complete. Does "After Processing Action" wait for full channel to process?

Assuming that queuing is disabled, yes, "After Processing" refers to all destinations and the postprocessor finishing. If destination queuing is introduced, then those destinations that queue will not be waited on. If source queuing is introduced then the entire message processing is not waited on.

Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.

    - How do I foo?
    - You just bar.
