  • Read Patient Monitor Output

I have connected a Patient Monitor directly into my PC for testing to read the socket stream data. What type of Source connector do I need to use?

This sounds sort of like the TAP protocol. What monitor did you connect? What physical port does it use? What virtual port does it use? What protocol does the manufacturer say it uses? What OS are you running on? Is this monitor connected to your desktop or the system running MC server?

Search the forums for RS-232 there are some old threads about it. IIRC the solution was a JS Reader calling a Java serial port reading application.

Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.
