Channel setup: Database reader, LLP writer

Fact: The database is read for patients every minute. This is an external database which cannot be updated.

Need: To send over LLP only patients that are not already sent.

Problem: Since I cannot write in the database that the patient record is read, i need to keep this state elsewhere.

What do you guys suggest? Write the ID of the read records to an external file using javascript (possible), and then use this to check if the record is already sent? Or is there a better way?

    Thanks.
