  • Changing CharSet

I have a channel who gets HL7 and transform it to DELIMITED TEXT. That works, but the output is a file containing the records. This file has automatically the character set US-ASCII, but so the receiving system (ms windows) don't understand some special characters like ä, ö, ü etc.

So I have to transform the message in UTF-8.

    I found the post:
    http://www.mirthcorp.com/community/f...3206#post43206

But can anyone help me how it is to use?

Just setting the encoding to UTF-8 on your File Writer destination should do the job.

Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.

    - How do I foo?
    - You just bar.

I think it don't work. I have this result in the console:

        file --mime-encoding FILE
        FILE: us-ascii

Not sure what you're talking about there.
