  • Edit response: for which destination connectors does it works?

Hi, I'm doing a very simple test to figure out the order of execution of global scripts, channel scripts, filters and transformers, by just adding a logger.info to each one of those.

My channel is very simple: MLLP Source / File Writer Destination (all HL& v2.x).

On the FileWriter Destination I added a logger.info also to the Edit Response as a JavaScript Step. But it is never executed, this is my output when I send a message:

    INFO 2016-07-29 03:03:39,527 [Undeploy JavaScript Task on 0001_logger (ddd4fb6b-0232-4af2-b32d-9022674322a0) < pool-7-thread-92] undeploy: Channel Undeploy

I was expecting "Destination 1 Response" after "Destination 1 Transformer" but there is nothing on the logs.

My question is: does the Response Transformer execute for certain types of destination connectors or should be executed for any type of dest connector?

In my case, the Response Transformer doesn't get executed for File Writer dest. Maybe a bug?

    Thanks!

Search the forums first please... The response transformer does not execute if there is no response to transform. If you want to always execute it regardless of whether there is a response, you can set your response data types to Raw.

Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.

    - How do I foo?
    - You just bar.
