    Commercial License and Support
As I'm sure all of you know by now, the forums here are a wonderful resource when you're stuck or have questions about how to use Mirth Connect. It's a free and open "as-is" resource though obviously, just like how Mirth Connect is open source. However as your organization grows and Mirth Connect becomes an integral part of your solution, I think you'll find the benefits of a commercial license quite appealing!
    • Enterprise-class Mirth Support

Most importantly, you'll be safely under our support umbrella. You can contact us directly if for whatever reason you run into a production incident.

    • Advanced Commercial Extensions

Our commercial extensions are built specifically for large healthcare organizations that require secure and scalable solutions. Streamline SSL certificate management, add role-based user restrictions, define metric-based advanced alerts, and much more! Go here for a full list: https://www.nextgen.com/Interoperabi...ect-Extensions

    • Option For Professional Services

We have a professional services team that can build interfaces from scratch to your (or your vendor's) specifications! We offer this option (as a separate engagement) to commercial support customers in case your organization doesn't have the necessary developer resources.

    Mirth Connect Certification Training
We offer two levels of Mirth Training:

In Mirth Connect Fundamentals Certification Training, we’ll cover everything from basic installation to Mirth Connectors. You’ll leave with a solid grasp on Mirth Connect. It’s designed to be your first Mirth Connect class and certification.

During Mirth Connect Advanced Certification Training, for users who have completed the Mirth Fundamentals class, you’ll take an even deeper dive into building your own channels and applications with Mirth solutions. This class will dig into topics such as customizing interfaces using Java and JavaScript, in-depth HL7 processing, working with databases, and using HTTP, web services, and JSON. Already certified on Mirth Connect? Take your skills to the next level!

We offer public classes in Costa Mesa, Atlanta, and London. We also offer private classes where we'll come to your location. For more information, go here: https://www.nextgen.com/Interoperabi...tions/Training

As always if you have any questions, please contact us here: https://www.mirth.com/About-Us/Contact-Us

Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.

Based on my experience with training, no. We were told that if you failed, you had to return to take the test again. No remote option.

The certification exams are only available when attending the corresponding training classes.

Please feel free to post any other questions you might have about the training program.

        Thanks!

As you know that last year we had only one training/certification program with Appliance training. But now separated in 3 different trainings,
          • Mirth Connect Fundamentals Certification Training
          • Mirth Connect Advanced Certification Training
          • Mirth Connect Certification + Mirth Appliance Training

So last year, I got the "Mirth Connect Certification + Mirth Appliance training". When I look at my training syllabus I think it covers Fundamentals and Advanced. Is this true? Can you give more details about Advanced training and differences between "MC Certification + Mirth Appliance Training".

Last question is can someone attend Advanced training without taking Fundamentals?

The training that you attended in July 2015 was essentially what we renamed as the "Mirth Connect Fundamentals Certification Training", but with Appliance training included. We removed the Appliance training day from the course in August 2015 to make it a 4-day class. Currently, the Appliance training day is only available for on-site trainings (the "Mirth Connect Certification + Mirth Appliance Training" that you referred to in your post). Really, what's listed on the website should read "Mirth Connect Fundamentals Certification + Mirth Appliance Training".

The "Mirth Connect Advanced Certification Training" course is a completely different course that was introduced in October 2015, and with it, an advanced-level certification. It's much more focused on coding aspects of Mirth Connect, as well as topics such as web services (both SOAP and REST).

You can download the syllabuses for both the Fundamentals and Advanced classes on our Mirth Solutions Training page here: https://www.nextgen.com/Interoperabi...tions/Training. Just scroll down to the "Additional Information" section toward the bottom of the page to find the links. Please note, however, that the syllabuses are subject to change, and sometimes do change as new versions of Mirth Connect are released.

Finally, to answer your last question, attending the Fundamentals class is a prerequisite for attending the Advanced class. However, you have already fulfilled that when you attended the training. Essentially, if you've ever attended a Mirth Connect training class, you're eligible to attend the Advanced class.

I'll also point out that we have Advanced classes currently scheduled for May 1-4, 2017 in Irvine, California and May 15-18, 2017 in London, UK.

Hope this helps! Please feel free to let me know if you have any other questions.

            Eric

                Hi,
We plan to do load balancing and clustering for our mirth channels. We were wondering what are the options for us to go about with it. Kindly advise.
                Thanks.

Hi looking at the fundamentals syllabus I am probably nearly there? But also seems I cannot just do the exam in london, England.

I can spin up new mirth install on windows operating system with a Sql database. Browse, tag, channels, import and exporting channels, understand code templates.

I have been supporting Mirth over 3 years with the commercial plugs... in a load balance environment, administering accounts, ssl renewals, message pruning , diagnosing and performance tuning, adjusting config maps, using basic java script placing debug statements in production environments to diagnose transformation and network issues.

Would you say my experience pretty covers the fundamentals and the advance course probably suits me more?

Not a NextGen employee. Never took a class, I simply don't learn that way, never have. Never took the exam. I don't think you can take the advanced class without taking the basic one. You can't take the exam either without a class.

I hear the classes are good though. mitch_nchin here on the forums is now a trainer, you might PM him.
