  • Dev. Team terminated, need to reset login account

    We were forced to terminate our development team and are unable to login to Mirth Connect Administrator, version 3.0.3.7171. Is there an administrative account that can be used to recover/reset account information?

    Currently, we are managing HL7 connectivity using Mirth Connect, and cannot login to administrate the application. The former development team has gone silent.

    The only way to log in at that point is to manually update the password in the database. Assuming that the encryption settings are default (MD5 digest in particular), you can do this:

    UPDATE PERSON_PASSWORD SET PASSWORD = 'YzKZIAnbQ5m+3llggrZvNtf5fg69yX7pAplfYg0Dngn/fESH93OktQ==' WHERE PERSON_ID = 1;
    That will reset the admin password to "admin".

    Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.
