  • Destination Raw vs Destination encoded

Hi Support, I am a little mixed with between the Destination Raw vs Destination encoded messages. I was thinking that the Destination raw message was the output from the source Is that correct? Then the Destination encoded would be the output message from the Destination transformer? Can you please explain this for me.

Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.

    - How do I foo?
    - You just bar.

My PID segment is getting removed from the raw to the encoded and when I look at the transformed it is also missing. I have no transformer logic in this channel so I dont understand this?

The destination raw can be different from the source raw, if you have source transformers.

Your pid could be being removed from an outbound msg template? or maybe it has something to do with the message format?

        Can you post the example?

Do you have an outbound template?
            Can you link your channel?

I Attach the Channel and don't see any outbound template.

Even though you have no Destination transformer, you still have a template in your Destination Outbound Message Template. This is replacing the output from the Source Outbound Message Template (and any changes you may have made to tmp)

Remove the Destination Outbound Message Template and you'll be good to go!
