  • Copying files from FTP source to local folder

    Hi Guys,

I'm building a channel with an FTP Reader source and need to write a copy of each original file to a folder on my Mirth server. What's the best way to do this?

The "Move-to" field on the Source tab assumes the destination is a folder on the source ftp site. Is there a way to specify a local folder?

    Thanks!

Can't you just use a Filewriter on the destination-part of your channel?

    Regards,

    Nordine

Thanks, Nordine. My concern with that approach is that the resulting file will be a re-compilation of the messages rather than a byte-for-byte copy of the original file. For legal reasons, I need to backup and archive the original source files.

        Hi Guys,

I'm still trying to figure this one out.

Is there a way to read a file (text, binary, whatever) from an FTP site and write that same identical file to a local folder? I know that's not really what Mirth is for, but was curious as to whether it could be done.

        Thanks!
