      In the mapping I have put parseInt(msg['PID']['PID.1'].toString()) and it me does not work. Not to do to go on to int also I have test the function in the select and neither it works.

            it fails because you're calling toString() on PID][PID.1], which is xml

            to make it work:
            var somedigit = parseInt(msg['PID']['PID.1']['PID.1.1'].toString());

              in the end i managed it doing with the DBMS (so not in JS but in the insert statement itself)
