  • Charts / Graphs in PDFs

I wonder if anyone has tried to produce a graph / chart using some external library and embed it into a PDF using Mirth Connect? Please can you share any experience / suggestions?

The obvious solution would be to use a Java or JavaScript library to create the chart and export it to an image of some kind. Then write the image to file, and include it in the PDF with an <img> tag. Right now the Document Writer doesn't support Base64 embedded PDFs, which is why you have to write it to a file first (it could be a temp file though). There's an issue for that: MIRTH-3385
Step 1: JAVA CACHE...DID YOU CLEAR ...wait, ding dong the witch is dead?

Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.

    - How do I foo?
    - You just bar.

Thanks. I had considered using this:

I tried to embed the base64 and found this did not work so will have to go down the file route as you say.
