  • Custom PostgreSQL Database Missing Username

    We have a custom PostgreSQL database installed on the Mirth appliance. It did have a username, or database owner; however, in the Database Management section of the Mirth appliance web interface, the username has disappeared.

    I am trying to connect to the database using pgAdmin, but without the username, I cannot connect to the server.

    Is there a way to add the username back to the database?

    Thanks.

    From the Mirth Appliance, under Services, select Database. That will have the username and a place to reset the password.

      There is no input field for the username; there is a field for the password.

        I tried enabling Read-Only User, but it won't let me make the change without a username.

          The username is already there. You can also add a DB, and create a new username.

            In the HTML for the page:
            <tr>
            <td class="label">Database Username:</td>
            <td>
            <input type="hidden" name="dbuser" value="">
            <span class="hint-container"><span class="hint">Name of the Database User.<span class="hint-pointer">&nbsp;</span></span></span>
            </td>

            myform.dbname has the value "TransDB"

            For the mirthdb database, the username field has the value "mirthdb"

            This is the error that I'm getting:
            ...
            } else if (document.myform.dbuser.value == "") {
            errormessage = "You must provide a username.";
            }
