  • requesting data via mirth

    hello everyone

is there a way to send a "request" hl7 message (e.g. return patient record of john doe) to mirth and have mirth for example execute a sql query on a patient database and send back the results as a hl7 message to the source system?
my apologies for asking this, i'm new to this domain.
thanks very much in advance for your help!

    regards

    joël

I am new as well, But I have the exact same question. We sit on client networks listening for ADT information which we use in our systems. And some times we only have access to A VisitID or PatientID field but no other information. In these cases we would like to generate a request message for the transmitting HL-7 server which would then pull that info and send it to our listening server. Is this possible?

    Thanks,
    Joe Hahn

Yes it is possible. You'll have to learn more about the tool.

Yes. This is a typical request-response message response.

This is achieved in mith with the "Response From" check box at the source tab configuration.

At the destination, you should create the return message, wich will be returned to the source endpoint.

thanks everyone for your help! i used mirth for a seminar thesis and we might use mirth now at our university for an e-health platform.
