  • Can Mirth convert between HL7 v.2X and HL7 v3?

My apologies if this is a stupid question, but I was wondering if one can use Mirth
    to convert between HL7 V2.X and HL7 V3.

I see conversion functions 'Convert HL7 to XML' and 'Convert XML to HL7', but I'm not sure if these would be part of what I'm looking for. I'm still quite new to HL7, and even newer to Mirth.

    Thanks much.

    HL7 V3 is basic XML.

You can convert very easy from v2 to v3, but it has to be done by hand. Put your V3 template in the "Outgoing Data" and map field by field.
