    Is it possible to send alerts on a specified intervals for a particular channel if it receives a disconnect response.

    Or is it possible to disable an alert after it sends a disconnect email for a monitoring channel. Later when the channel is able to connect it again sends email that now the channel is up. This way instead of sending 1000 of emails for every attempt it would just send two.

    Yes, that's definitely possible with Advanced Alerting. On your action group you can set a wait period so that even if the alert is being hammered with error events, it will only perform the action (e.g. send an e-mail) once, and a second action will only be performed after the wait period has elapsed.

    Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.
