  • Native XML to ER7

    Hi everyone,

I am brand new to Mirth and would like to know how to most easily transform an HL7 XML message, into ER7, pipe delimited format. There's an example of the XML format I'm using below, which has been truncated to exclude any PHI. This content is being delivered to a Channel with a Connector Type of Channel Reader. I would like to deliver this content to an LLP Sender Destination, in pipe-delimited format, without having to apply field by field mapping. Is there a way to just transform an entire XML message into it's equivalent ER7 format?

    Thanks so much!

I forgot to mention that this is for Mirth Connect

If that's following the correct XSD, you can just use the HL7 strict parser. Inbound data type XML (strip namespaces disabled), outbound data type HL7 v2.x with Use Strict Parser enabled.

Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.

      - How do I foo?
      - You just bar.
