  • Appliance Specification

I am putting together a proposal to use Mirth and am trying to do a cost benefit analysis of buying a Mirth appliance versus setting up our own boxes - I am open to either and would like to determine the most appropriate in our scenario. Does anyone know the Ram/Processor/etc. specs of the physical Mirth Appliance servers?

    Jason,

Glad to see you're doing a buy vs. build evaluation of the Mirth Appliances. I'd suggest the crux of your evaluation is the value of the appliance control panel rather than the actual underlying hardware. The appliance team at Mirth has distilled years of securely hosting healthcare applications into a purpose-built platform that makes it easy to deploy, maintain, and manage Mirth-based interoperability solutions. We are hosting a free webinar on the appliances this Wednesday and it would be a good chance for you to see the appliances in action. Here's a link to register for the webinar:

For those of us who missed the webinar, is there a way we can access the information? I am doing a similar cost/benefit analysis.

The webinar is still available online at http://www.mirthcorp.com/news/mirth-appliance-webinar

However, this webinar is now over 4 years old and the appliances have evolved quite a bit since then.
