  • Can we add URL in HL7 2.3 ?

Hello guys, we have a problem where we want to send URL in HL7 Message. Can we add URL? If so, what will be the appropriate segment to add that. It is a URL of a document in MDM message but also required in other message types like results/orders?

A URL is simply text, it has no meaning in an hl7 message. So you and the other side need to agree where to put it in a message.

Be careful about escaping the URL properly. Like you do any text that might have a hl7 encoded character.

pacmano The URL looks something like this: "https://www.server.org/Home/FetchPdfRedirect?key=08/09/[email protected]:610000000000". I think it is good to go, Right ?
