  • Mirth Connect 3.1 Released!

We’re happy to announce that Mirth Connect 3.1 is finally here!

Mirth Connect 3.1 includes over 150 new features, improvements, and bug fixes. It features universal batch support for all data types, connector enhancements, and many other features designed to help you manage your channels.

Some key features and benefits of the new release include:
    • Improved batch support – process batch messages through nearly every connector or data type; better message management with batch metadata
    • Configuration Map – easily manage custom server properties; share channels across servers without having to modify code templates or global scripts
    • HTTP Connector Improvements – better than ever with proxy support, static resources, multipart parsing, and more
    • Web Service Sender Improvements – now supports custom endpoint addresses and request headers; easily configure multiple WSDL services and ports
    • Notifications – receive notifications directly within the Mirth Connect Administrator to know immediately when a new version is released or to stay informed about important developments
    • Improved channel engine – faster startup and redeploy speeds

Thank you, I liked very much the improvements and I have one suggestion.
On the Mirth Connect Dashboard will be great if we can create some grouping of our channels. We have over 80 channels and it will look a lot more organized and easy to find if we could group by channels type or by servers or whatever we want, just like creating a "folder" and dropping the channels inside.

    Thanks

      hi There.

      Just installed this afternoon.

We had seen a lot about the shared database support in the webinars. However, reading through the list of improvements, I don't see any mention of it.

      Perhaps I am missing something?

      Thanks,

      Bruce.

      Hmmmm,

This is among our most requested features and is currently on our roadmap for 2015. Thanks for your feedback!

          Hmmmm,
Thank you for your interest and participation on our webinars. Shared database support will be coming soon as a commercial extension for Mirth Connect 3.1. We will have more information in the coming weeks.

            cguanes,

You can do that pretty easily now with the Channel Tags (in the Channel setup) and then the Channel Filter in the Dashboard view...

              Hello Wayne.

Do you know what level of support the extension will be at?

              Thanks,

              Bruce.

As we mentioned in the August webinar, the Advanced Clustering Plugin will be available to customers on Platinum support. A basic version will be included on all appliances that will support existing clustering features and provide the added benefits of using a shared database.

Thanks for the information. Given that we are on lowly Silver support, is there a document that outlines the differences between the basic version and the Advanced plugin?

                  Thanks again,

                  Bruce.

It has been a while since this posting, and I am wondering if you have any more information on the timeline for this plugin?

We are getting quite anxious to get this set up.

                      Thanks,

                      Bruce.

We're currently wrapping up some final changes in preparation for release of the shared-database clustering features, although we don't have a firm release date yet.

Inspired by your previous question about comparing basic clustering with the advanced clustering plugin, we're also working on a feature comparison table that will be released along with the advanced plugin.

Is the Shared Database A Reality

When I took the training at MithCorp in October of 2013 we were told the shared database was coming. For 2 of the people in the class it was a no go for them on Mirth as soon as they found that the current system (at that time) was not a shared database and could not support 100% ordered delivery. I love Mirth and have been waiting patiently to get rid of our BizNoTalk solution but it currently has HA and message ordered delivery. So I can't do it until Mirth steps up. Every month we hear "it's coming" for over a year. Can we please get an actual release date so we can start our planning?

We have had the beta program for clustering going now for a couple of months or so.

Mirth Connect can and does support 100% ordered and guaranteed message delivery. It even supports using a shared database across multiple server instances (with some stipulations). So I'm not sure where you got that.

Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.

                            - How do I foo?
                            - You just bar.
