  • j2ee application receiving HL7 messages realtime

    Hello,
We have a j2ee application which needs to process HL7 messages realtime. Our client has asked us for the ip and port to send the message to.
We were thinking of creating a wsdl stub, sending it to the client and asking the client to call a method on that stub. But the problem is that the client probably cannot change the source code which generates and sends HL7 messages.

Is there a way by which using mirth can help us out?
    regards

Absolutely. Mirth was designed to deal with these situations.

You'll want to set up a channel with an LLP Listener as its source and a SOAP sender as a destination. Within that destination you will have a transformer that takes the HL7 message and picks out the parameters you need for your SOAP method.
